Welcome to the Elderfraud Foundation
Dedicated to Stopping Elder Financial Fraud & Abuse
Our mission is to educate, inform and empower senior citizens and their loved ones to protect themselves, protect their assets and fend off predators.
Background
Financial Elder Abuse is a National Crisis.
Through deceit and outright theft, senior citizens in the United States are routinely swindled out of their homes and money, often leaving them penniless and emotionally scared. Seniors lose a staggering $2.6 to 3 Billion a year to financial abuse, and that’s just the reported cases.
In the U.S., our society has gone from valuing our senior citizens to their being invisible and a burden. Large portions of the elderly population are vulnerable because of their impairment to think things through clearly, some are lonely and isolated.
Who We Are
We are Elder Advocates.
We are not doctors, lawyers, bankers, financial planners, or mortgage bankers/lenders . . . We see this issue from an advocacy and personal perspective.
We started this foundation because of the numerous occurrences of financial elder abuse in our own families and circle of friends, such as: undue influence, romance scams, trust attorney mistakes, financial advisor apathy and deceitful family members.
We are encouraged by the laws being passed at the state and federal levels to protect the elderly against financial elder abuse and the prosecution of criminals. Nonetheless, with widespread budget cuts in health and social service programs, there is a significant amount of work to be done.

My Story
Where it Began: “The Honeymoon is Over”
My father was in a convalescent home. When I’d visit my dad, he talked about his friend “Betty” that visited him often and brought him gifts.
The Elder Fraud Foundation is an advocate for the Elderly. We rely on donations to keep our resources up to date.
We cannot win the fight alone. Kindly contact us if you would like more information on how you can help.
